Well, we began our day with a little walk thru the Basilica for the Sacred Heart and the St. Claude de Columbiere memorial where his bones are displayed. We are now off to Nevers, the home of St, Bernadette of Lourdes.
Well, I just got back to the hotel after a long day of visiting Nevers and the Convent where St. Bernadette of Lourdes spent her time praying and later died. We saw the location where St. Bernadette was buried and later exhumed to check for incorruption. We saw the statue of Mary where she often prayed and celebrated Mass in teh Chapel where she prayed in front of the Blessed Sacrament often and now lies incorrupt. St. Bernadette's story is so inspiring. Nevers is the town where she went after living in Lourdes. She entered the convent at the age of 22 and later died at the young age of 35. She was so very small, yet so remarkable.
Tomorrow we are off to Bourges in the Berry Region of France. Check out the pictures...
